Musing and Me

“I’m tempted to take today’s prompt and and tack it onto the end of all my posts. I mean, all of them.”

He looked at her and asked, “You talking to me?”

“Sure.”

“The imaginary muse blogging friend. You gonna do that thing now?”

She shrugged. “Could be fun. Others do it.”

“OK, whatever.”

“You weren’t busy doing something else, I mean…figments just kinda sit around until summoned, right?”

“Of course. So, this sentence…?”

“Right, so the prompt says to write something that ends with, ‘and all was right in the world,’ something like that.”

“And you’re gonna tack it onto the end of all your posts.”

“Sure. What the hell.”

“And link it.”

“Light that pingback grid right up.”

He stared at her for a moment, letting her think this one through a little longer.

“AND add it to all my photography blog posts and posts in Pops’ blog.

He smiled.

“One big bouquet of LRoses for everyone!” She shrugged again, “It’s just a thought.”

“It’s an interesting idea, though, to build a story from the ending.”

“I guess. Something where that actually happened. Happy endings forever after, tucked warmly in our beds at the end of a long day, peace in our time, etc., etc. Sure. Like drafting a backstory, which is fun. I like doing that.” She stopped and thought a bit before continuing. “But, I got nothin.”

“Too bad.”
