Missy Mouse gasped. It must have taken her shrew cousins days to clear the roots of the grand oak where she first met her betrothed.

Just then, the roots came to life with a faint hum and tiny, undulating lights.

“Ready for the big day tomorrow, Missy?” a firefly asked.

“Yes. Yes!”
